COLD BREW
Cold brew is one of the smoothest, most refreshing ways to enjoy coffee, delivering a naturally sweet, low-acid cup with remarkable depth and richness. Brewed slowly over 12–16 hours using cold water, this method gently extracts the coffee’s flavor without the bitterness or sharpness often found in hot brews.
What You’ll Need:
-
Jar or pitcher
-
Coarse ground coffee
-
Cheesecloth or filter
-
Spoon
-
Scale or scoop
Preparation:
-
Ratio: 1:8 (100g coffee to 800g water for concentrate)
-
Use cold or room temp water
-
Stir to saturate
Brew Process:
-
Combine coffee and water.
-
Stir and cover.
-
Steep 12–16 hours in fridge or on counter.
-
Strain through filter.
- Dilute to taste and serve cold.
Roaster’s Tip: Use a slightly higher dose and a coarse, consistent grind to highlight the natural sweetness and body of your beans. Lighter roasts bring out bright, fruity notes, while medium and dark roasts lean into chocolatey, nutty flavors. After filtering, let your cold brew rest in the fridge for 12–24 hours before drinking.
