DRIP COFFEE MAKER

The drip coffee maker is a timeless and convenient way to brew consistently balanced coffee with minimal effort. Ideal for everyday use, it delivers a smooth, approachable cup that highlights the natural sweetness of our beans

What You’ll Need:

  • Drip coffee machine
  • Paper or reusable filter
  • Fresh SZNS Coffee
  • Filtered water
  • Scale

Preparation:

  1. Coffee-to-Water Ratio: With a 1:17 ratio,  for every 1 gram of coffee, use 17 grams of water 
  2. Grind Your Coffee: The grind should be a medium grind
  3. Water: Use fresh filtered water
  4. Scale and Filter: Measure coffee to match number of cups you’re brewing and pour coffee grounds into the filter

Brew Process:

  1. Insert filter and add coffee to the basket.
  2. Fill the reservoir with water.
  3. Start the brew cycle.
  4. Stir the carafe after brewing for even flavor.
  5. Pour and enjoy.


Roasters Tip:
Use freshly ground coffee and a brew ratio dialed to your roast style — for lighter roasts, use a bit more coffee (e.g. 1:15) and slightly hotter water if your machine allows. This helps bring out the brightness and complexity. For darker roasts, a slightly coarser grind and a 1:16–1:17 ratio can smooth out intensity and enhance sweetness. Always pre-wet your filter to remove paper taste and warm the carafe — small steps that make a big difference in flavor clarity.
